We are temporarily closing The Woodpecker Barn to rentals!
John & I are moving into the apartment so we can remodel our house!
We hope to reopen for short term rentals in the spring of 2025!
We chose Lakeside to retire to after 30+ years of living in the Phoenix valley - what fun to be living in the seasons again! We laugh that we purchased a barn and the house came with it - the barn was more than twice the size of the house! Knowing that we love to entertain family and friends, we knew we would convert part of the barn to an independent apartment.
It has been a challenging labor of love these past two years to build the apartment to our own specific requirements, taking pride in working alongside skilled tradesman and doing a lot of the work ourselves.
We are still in the process of completing a few finishing touches, (creating a custom dining room table, a bit of exterior painting, installing the washer and dryer) but we hope you can see enough to select The Woodpecker Barn for your next visit to the White Mountains!
The Woodpecker Barn Apartment offers 2 masters, a full kitchen, living room, dining room and laundry room.
Bedroom One - a Cal King Sleep Number mattress with a private bath containing a walk-in shower.
Bedroom Two - a Cal King 12" Hybrid Gel Memory Foam mattress with a private bath containing a shower/tub combo.
The living room offers a comfy place to relax after a day out enjoying what the White Mountains offers.
The dining room provides a place to play cards, work a puzzle and enjoy your meals.
The well appointed full kitchen will make it easy to be your own master chef.
Amenities
- Internet provided for your all your connections.
- Laundry room within the apartment.
- A portable crib is available.
- An extra twin bed can be arranged.
- Weather & wind permitting, there is a firepit for your evening enjoyment.
- Place your food order at https://www.safeway.com/ for curbside pickup service.
- Propane grill is just outside the apartment for you to prepare a gourmet meal.
Rates
We would appreciate a 3 night minimum rental period at the rate of $150/night.
A cleaning fee of $75.00.
