Our Woodpecker Barn Apartment
We chose Lakeside as our retirement home after more than 30 years in the Phoenix Valley—what a joy it has been to experience all four seasons again!
We often laugh that we purchased a barn and the house came with it, as the barn is more than three times the size of the home. Knowing how much we love to entertain family and friends, we decided to convert part of the barn into an independent apartment.
This labor of love took two years to complete, during which we worked alongside skilled trades people and proudly completed much of the work ourselves. Every detail was designed to meet our personal standards for comfort, function, and style.
The Woodpecker Barn Apartment features two master suites, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and laundry room.
Bedroom One: California King Sleep Number mattress with a private bath and walk-in shower.
Bedroom Two: California King 12" Hybrid Gel Memory Foam mattress with a private bath and shower/tub combination.
The living room offers a comfortable space to unwind after a day exploring all the White Mountains have to offer.
The dining room provides the perfect setting to enjoy meals, play cards, or work on a puzzle together.
The well-appointed full kitchen makes it easy to step into the role of your own master chef and create memorable meals during your stay.

- Laundry room within the apartment.
- An extra twin bed can be arranged.
- Weather & wind permitting, there is a firepit for your evening enjoyment.
- Place your food order at https://www.safeway.com/ for curbside pickup service.
- Propane grill is just outside the apartment for you to prepare a gourmet meal.
Rates
We would appreciate a 3 night minimum rental period at the rate of $150/night.
A cleaning fee of $75.00.
